Lebanon’s Participation in the 2nd Polish-Arab Economic Forum

Warsaw, 20 June 2005 – PoznaƄ, 21 June 2005

Lebanon was represented in the Second Polish-Arab Economic Forum by a high level business delegation chaired by H.E. Dr. Adnan Kassar, President of the Federation of Lebanese Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and Vice-President of the Federation of Arab Chambers of Commerce.

Members of the Lebanese Delegation included:
– Mr. Mohammed Lamaa, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce of Beirut.
– Mr. Edmond Jreissati, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Zahle.
– Mr. Gaby Tamer, Vice-President of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists.

The meetings were also attended by H.E. Mr. Massoud Maalouf, Ambassador of Lebanon to Poland.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Kassar made a remarkable presentation in which he proposed to make this forum an annual event to be held alternatively in Poland and an Arab country.

Dr. Kassar held important meetings with Polish personalities including a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Labor Mr. Jacek Piechota as well as with the Polish President of the Chamber of Commerce Mr. Andrzej Arendarski.
